That's why I believe - Martin Ditthardt

Hello dear readers,

Why I Believe

For me, Jesus is not just some figure from the Bible.
He is the center of my faith – and my life.

When I look at Jesus, I see how humanity is truly meant to be. He had a special empathy for those no one else saw: for people who were sick, who had no friends, who had made mistakes, or were disappointed. He didn't condemn them. He took them seriously. He showed them: You are valuable. You are not forgotten. God sees you.

And I find that incredibly powerful: Jesus didn't just speak beautiful words. He lived that way. He didn't just promise hope – he made people feel it.

But for me, Jesus is more than a good person or a role model.
I believe: God himself is revealed in Jesus. If I want to know what God is like, then I look at Jesus. And there I see love. Radical, courageous, selfless love.

Jesus was even willing to give everything – even to the cross. He went into the darkness, into fear, suffering, and death. And yet, that was not the end. God resurrected him. For me, that means: Death does not have the final say. Love is stronger. Life wins.

And for me, this is not just an old story.
I have experienced that this love is still real today. It touched me. It changed my life.

Through Jesus, I know: My worth does not depend on how perfect I am. I am allowed to make mistakes. I am allowed to start anew. Forgiveness is possible. God desires relationship – even with me.

I believe that Jesus lives. That he still gives people hope today. That he sustains when things are difficult. That he gives strength.

And I believe: He is life. And he wants us to truly live – with hope, with courage, and with a firm foundation under our feet.

That's why I believe.
